QuoteIQ vs GorillaDesk: quote-first or route-first?
GorillaDesk grew up running recurring routes for pest control. QuoteIQ grew up writing quotes. Both can schedule a day and take a payment, but they're aimed at different kinds of work.

QuoteIQ is the better buy for one-off and project work where you measure, price and quote each job: pressure washing, lawn installs, handyman, roofing. GorillaDesk is stronger for recurring route work, especially pest control, where cheap routing on the entry plan, unlimited office users and pest compliance tools matter more than AI quoting.
Two ways of charging
The pricing models explain most of this comparison. GorillaDesk charges per schedule (one route or technician's day) and lets admins, managers, sales staff and crew log in for free. Basic is $49/mo, Pro is $99 and Growth is $149, with extra routes costing $30–$100 more. So a shop with one route and three office people pays $49, while a shop running four trucks pays a lot more.
QuoteIQ charges a flat plan that includes a set number of users: one on Essentials ($29.99), two on Beginner ($99.99), four on Pro ($199.99), ten on Elite ($299.99) and twenty on Max ($699.99). Extra users are $25/mo. Routes and trucks don't change the price. QuoteIQ's comparison argues GorillaDesk's “per-schedule pricing escalates fast”; that's the vendor's framing, and it's only true once you add routes.
| QuoteIQ | GorillaDesk | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | Essentials $29.99/mo; flat tiers to Max $699.99 | Basic $49/mo; Pro $99; Growth $149 |
| Users included | 1 on Essentials (2 / 4 / 10 / 20 on higher tiers); extra users $25/mo | Priced per route; admin, manager, sales and crew users free |
| Trial & card | 14 days, card required, 250 IQ Credits | Not stated on the pricing page |
| AI estimating | AI Estimator on every plan (about 5–15 IQ Credits per estimate) | Not listed on GorillaDesk's pricing page |
| Measurement | MapMeasure Pro + roof & pitch, Beginner ($99.99) and up | Not listed on the pricing page we checked |
| AI receptionist | Virtual Call Team on every plan; 125 IQ Credits per minute | Not listed on the pricing page we checked |
| QuickBooks | QuickBooks Online, Pro ($199.99) and up; no Desktop | Not detailed on the pricing page we checked |
| Inventory | Elite ($299.99) and up | Not listed on the pricing page we checked |
| Best for | Quote-heavy project and one-off work | Recurring route work, especially pest control |
GorillaDesk Basic, per GorillaDesk's pricing page, includes unlimited admins, invoices, estimates and work orders, basic routing (25 stops), Square and Stripe payments, broadcast email and SMS, and 20 reports.
Two shops, priced both ways
One truck, an owner and two people in the office. GorillaDesk Basic covers it at $49 because office users are free. On QuoteIQ, three logins means Pro at $199.99 (four users), or Beginner at $99.99 plus a $25 seat if you can live without QuickBooks and calling. GorillaDesk is the cheaper tool here, by a lot.
A solo owner quoting new jobs every day. QuoteIQ Essentials is $29.99, and Beginner at $99.99 adds satellite measuring. GorillaDesk Basic is $49 with routing but no AI estimating on its pricing page. If your day is quoting rather than running a fixed route, QuoteIQ gives you more of the tools you'll use.
Extra GorillaDesk routes add $30–$100 each depending on plan, so a growing multi-truck shop should price its exact route count on GorillaDesk's page and line it up against QuoteIQ Elite's flat $299.99 for ten users.
Where GorillaDesk wins
QuoteIQ's own GorillaDesk page makes three concessions, and they're the right ones. First, “unlimited admin/manager/sales users on all plans,” which suits an office-heavy shop. Second, “route optimization on Basic ($49/mo)” while QuoteIQ needs Elite at $299.99 for it. Third, pest-specific compliance features that QuoteIQ doesn't try to match.
Broadcast email and SMS on the entry plan are another plus. On QuoteIQ, email and text automation begins on Pro and mass campaigns on Elite. If your business is a fixed list of customers visited on a cycle, GorillaDesk does that job for less money.
Where QuoteIQ wins
- Drafting quotes with the AI Estimator on every plan
- Measuring lawns, driveways, roofs and fences from satellite imagery (Beginner+)
- Options and Package estimates so customers pick a tier
- A 24/7 AI receptionist from the $29.99 plan, paid in credits
- A cheaper start for a solo owner: $29.99 vs $49
- Routing on a budget: optimization needs Elite ($299.99)
- Big office teams: users count toward plan limits
- Pest control compliance and reporting
- Mass campaigns, which wait until Elite
- Usage costs: AI and calls draw on IQ Credits
If you sell new work by the job, the quoting tools are what you'll touch most. Measure a property in MapMeasure Pro, save the area to the estimate line, let the AI suggest add-ons, and send a tiered quote from the driveway. That flow is QuoteIQ's reason to exist.

Which trades go where
Pest control
Stay with GorillaDesk, or pick it if you're starting out. The compliance features and cheap routing are made for you, and QuoteIQ says so itself.
Lawn care
It depends on your mix. Mostly recurring mowing on fixed routes leans GorillaDesk. Lots of installs, cleanups and new-customer quotes lean QuoteIQ, where satellite measuring speeds up every bid. Our QuoteIQ for lawn care page goes deeper.
Pressure washing, roofing, handyman
QuoteIQ. Each job is quoted fresh, often from square footage, and that's what the AI Estimator and measuring tools are for. See QuoteIQ for pressure washing.
Switching notes
Export your GorillaDesk customers and service list to CSV and import with AI Smart Import, which maps the columns for you. Payment history isn't brought over, and imported contacts default to receiving automated emails, so review that setting first. If you rely on route optimization, budget for Elite; there's no cheaper QuoteIQ plan with it. QuoteIQ's GorillaDesk comparison gives the vendor's side, and its route optimization page explains what Elite adds. Our own take is in the route optimization review.

How does GorillaDesk pricing work?
GorillaDesk charges per schedule, or route, rather than per user. Basic is $49/mo, Pro $99 and Growth $149, and extra routes add $30–$100 each. Admin, manager, sales and crew users are free. QuoteIQ charges per plan with set users included, from $29.99 for one user to $299.99 for ten.
Is GorillaDesk only for pest control?
No, but that's its core market. QuoteIQ's comparison claims 89% of GorillaDesk users are in pest control, a figure we couldn't verify. QuoteIQ also concedes GorillaDesk has pest-specific compliance features it lacks. Lawn, pool and other route-based trades use GorillaDesk too, but pest shops get the most from it.
Which has route optimization on the cheaper plan?
GorillaDesk. Its $49 Basic plan includes basic routing for up to 25 stops. On QuoteIQ, route optimization starts on Elite at $299.99/mo, which QuoteIQ's own GorillaDesk page admits. If you run tight daily routes on a small budget, that difference is hard to ignore.
Does GorillaDesk have AI estimating or satellite measuring?
Neither appears on GorillaDesk's pricing page. QuoteIQ includes an AI Estimator on every plan and MapMeasure Pro satellite measuring from Beginner at $99.99/mo. For trades where each job needs a fresh quote based on square footage, that is QuoteIQ's main advantage in this matchup.
Can I try GorillaDesk and QuoteIQ for free?
QuoteIQ offers a 14-day trial with a card required and 250 IQ Credits. GorillaDesk's pricing page doesn't state its trial terms, so check with GorillaDesk directly. If you trial QuoteIQ, choose your plan before you start, because changing plans mid-trial ends the trial and begins billing.
