QuoteIQ for Lawn Care: Fit, Features and Pricing
Lawn care is the trade where QuoteIQ's satellite map makes the most obvious sense: measure the turf from the truck, price it, and drop the customer onto a weekly route. We checked what QuoteIQ promises mowing and landscaping companies, and what each piece costs.
Heads up: we're an independent QuoteIQ affiliate. If you start a subscription through our links we earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. We're not affiliated with QuoteIQ. How this site works.
One of QuoteIQ's strongest trades. Solo mowers and small crews get satellite measuring, recurring billing and quoting at fair prices. The catch: route optimization and customers drawing their own lawn online both need Elite at $299.99, which is steep for a two-mower operation.

What QuoteIQ says for lawn care
The lawn care software page describes building mowing estimates, organizing recurring schedules and billing. Its trade-specific points: recurring routes, recurring plans that bill the card on file on every plan, routing and crews that depend on your tier, and InstaQuote letting customers draw their own lawn. The lawn care FAQ answers 26 operator questions. The landscaping page is an older, generic template, so it adds little for design-build or hardscape work.
Features that matter most for lawn care
MapMeasure Pro for lawns
MapMeasure Pro measures turf area on satellite imagery from inside the estimate, and “Save to Estimate” drops the square footage into the line quantity. Linear mode handles edging and fence lines, and Wayback imagery helps when the current photo is shaded. It starts on Beginner. AI AutoMeasure costs 100 IQ Credits each time, so measure by hand when you can.
Recurring visits and billing
Weekly and biweekly visits, mass reschedule for rain days and weather forecasts are on the scheduling calendar. Invoice subscriptions bill mowing plans automatically on every plan; see invoicing and payments.
Routes and self-quoting
Route optimization and route density zones arrive on Elite. QuoteIQ claims users report 15–20% fuel savings; we have not measured that. InstaQuote, where a homeowner outlines their own lawn on your website and gets a price, is also Elite.
Which plan to pick by crew size
| Operation | Plan | Lawn reason |
|---|---|---|
| Solo mower | Essentials, $29.99 | Recurring visits and billing, but no satellite measuring |
| 1–2 people | Beginner, $99.99 | MapMeasure Pro, property street view, before/after photos |
| 3–4 people | Pro, $199.99 | Job costing per property, QuickBooks Online, On The Way texts |
| 2–3 crews, up to 10 | Elite, $299.99 | Route optimization, InstaQuote lawn drawing, GPS timesheets |
| Many crews, up to 20 | Max, $699.99 | Crew management and multiple businesses (e.g. lawn plus snow) |
For a lawn operator, Beginner is the real starting point because measuring is the reason to pick QuoteIQ. More detail on our QuoteIQ pricing page.
Honest gaps for lawn care
- Satellite measuring built in, not a separate subscription
- Card-on-file recurring billing on every plan
- Good fit for exterior quoting from the truck
- Rain-day mass reschedule
- Route optimization only from Elite at $299.99
- Customer lawn drawing (InstaQuote) also Elite
- Crew assignment is a Max feature on new plans
- Landscaping page is generic; no design-build tools
- No chemical application log stated for lawn treatment, unlike the pest page
Crew assignment deserves a note. QuoteIQ lists Crews as Max-only for new subscriptions (Elite plans bought before April 2, 2026 kept it). Multi-crew lawn companies on Elite assign individual people instead.
Alternatives worth a look
QuoteIQ's own Jobber page notes that Jobber measures lawns through a Deep Lawn integration rather than built in; compare in QuoteIQ vs Jobber. Budget solo operators should look at QuoteIQ vs Markate. Route-heavy outfits may find cheaper routing in QuoteIQ vs GorillaDesk, which includes basic routing on its $49 plan. Landscaping-specific tools like Yardbook, LMN and SingleOps are in our alternatives roundup.
Lawn care: common questions
Can QuoteIQ measure lawns from satellite?
Yes. MapMeasure Pro measures area and lines on satellite imagery and fills the estimate quantity for you. It is on Beginner at $99.99 a month and up, not Essentials. The optional AI AutoMeasure feature costs 100 IQ Credits per measurement, so drawing the outline yourself saves credits.
Does QuoteIQ bill recurring mowing customers automatically?
Yes. Invoice subscriptions bill a saved card on a schedule and are included on every plan, along with recurring visits on the calendar. That covers weekly, biweekly or monthly mowing plans. QuoteIQ's lawn page specifically mentions card-on-file billing for recurring plans.
Which plan has route optimization for lawn crews?
Route optimization and route density zones are on Elite at $299.99 a month and Max. QuoteIQ's help center also notes in-calendar route optimization uses IQ Credits per leg. If routing is your main need on a small budget, compare GorillaDesk, which includes basic routing on its entry plan.
Can customers measure their own lawn with QuoteIQ?
With InstaQuote, yes. You embed a quote form on your website, the homeowner outlines their lawn on a satellite map, and they get a priced quote with your deposit. It hands off to online booking and payment. InstaQuote is an Elite and Max feature, so it is not available on cheaper plans.
Is QuoteIQ good for landscaping companies too?
For maintenance-heavy landscapers, mostly yes, since the measuring and recurring tools carry over. QuoteIQ's landscaping page is an older generic template, though, and we found no design-build or hardscape estimating features. Larger landscape firms may prefer landscape-specific tools such as LMN or Aspire.
