QuoteIQ for Handyman Businesses: Fit, Features and Pricing
A handyman ticket is rarely one job. It is a leaky faucet, two sticky doors, a ceiling fan and a patch of drywall, all on one visit. The software has to quote that list quickly and still show the customer what each item costs.

A strong fit for solo handymen and two- or three-person outfits. Itemized and bundled quotes, photo-based drafting and on-site payment are all on cheap plans. Handyman companies that want online booking, job costing per visit and staff timesheets will pay Pro or Elite prices for them.

What QuoteIQ says for handymen
The handyman software page (published June 2025, updated September 2026) is headlined “The Best Handyman CRM That Quotes Multi-Task Jobs Fast and Never Drops a Lead”. Its trade-specific angle is multi-task bundles, with the page noting plans from $29.99. The rest of the page re-pitches QuoteIQ's general stack: AI Estimator, QuoteIQ Cam, Job Costing, the Virtual Call Team and Review Multiplier.
QuoteIQ does not publish a downloadable handyman price list. You build your own saved services (hang a TV, replace a toilet flapper, patch drywall per square foot) and reuse them.
Features that matter most for handyman work
Multi-task quotes
Every plan includes four estimate formats. For handymen the useful ones are Standard, where each task gets its own line, and Package, which bundles tasks with a visible discount, such as the “$775 was $900” example on QuoteIQ's package estimates page. Options estimates let a customer choose between, say, repairing and replacing a vanity. Customers can accept, decline with a reason or ask for changes.
Photo-based drafting
Customers text pictures of the job list. The AI Estimator takes up to five photos plus a description, asks follow-up questions and drafts line items with confidence scores. QuoteIQ's own caveat is fair: the AI does not know site conditions you have not supplied, so check every line.
Lead capture and payment
The AI receptionist helps when you are on a ladder and can't answer, and payments with tips and financing are on every plan; see invoicing and payments. From Elite, InstaQuote lets customers pick tasks on your website and get a price.
Which plan to pick by crew size
| Business | Plan | Handyman reason |
|---|---|---|
| Solo handyman | Essentials, $29.99 | All estimate types, price book, AI drafting, payments |
| Solo with lots of photo work | Beginner, $99.99 | QuoteIQ Cam job reports, before/after, expense tracking |
| 2–4 people | Pro, $199.99 | Job Costing per ticket, QuickBooks Online, client portal |
| 5–10 people | Elite, $299.99 | Online booking, timesheets, GPS, routing between small jobs |
Most solo handymen will be fine on Essentials for a long time. The jump to Pro is mainly for QuickBooks and knowing which job types make money. See QuoteIQ pricing for annual totals.
Honest gaps for handyman businesses
- Itemized and bundled quotes on the cheapest plan
- Photo-to-quote drafting suits text-a-picture customers
- Tips and financing at checkout
- Fast setup without a sales call
- No ready-made handyman price list
- Job costing only from Pro
- Online booking only from Elite
- AI drafting uses credits (5–15 per estimate)
- Feature overload is a common complaint in reviews
The feature-overload point is worth taking seriously. Reviewers on Capterra mention the learning curve of a feature-heavy app. A handyman who just wants quotes and invoices may find simpler tools quicker to learn, so turn off what you don't need during setup.

Handyman: common questions
Can QuoteIQ quote several handyman tasks on one estimate?
Yes. A Standard estimate lists each task as its own line, and a Package estimate bundles several tasks with a visible discount. Both are on every plan, including Essentials at $29.99 a month. Saved services in the price book let you add common tasks with a tap.
Does QuoteIQ have a handyman price list?
Not one we could find. QuoteIQ's handyman page talks about multi-task bundles, but you build your own saved services and prices. The AI Estimator can draft line items from photos and a description, which helps with unusual jobs, but you should always check its numbers against your rates.
What is the cheapest QuoteIQ plan for a handyman?
Essentials at $29.99 a month for one user. It includes all estimate types, invoicing, online payments, tips, financing and the AI receptionist with 500 IQ Credits. It does not include QuickBooks Online, job costing or the business phone line, which start on Pro at $199.99.
Can handyman customers book small jobs online?
With InstaSchedule and InstaQuote, yes, but both are Elite features at $299.99 a month. Customers pick services, answer questions, see a price and book a slot. On lower plans, customers contact you by phone, text or a website form from Pro, and you send the quote yourself.
Is QuoteIQ hard to learn for a handyman?
It has a lot of features, and reviewers mention a learning curve. The basics, building a quote, sending it by text and collecting payment, are quick to pick up. Spend the first trial days setting up your top 20 services so quoting becomes tapping rather than typing.
