QuoteIQ for Roofing: Fit, Features and Pricing

Roofers buy software for one thing first: an accurate roof measurement without climbing a ladder. QuoteIQ bundles satellite roof and pitch measuring into its mid-tier plans. Here is how far that gets a roofing business, and when a roofing-specific platform is the better call.

Short answer

A good value for small residential roofers and repair crews who want measuring, quoting and invoicing in one subscription. Roofing companies whose sales run through detailed measurement reports, supplements and long production schedules will likely be better served by a roofing-specific tool.

What QuoteIQ says for roofers

The roofing software page (published March 2026, updated October 2026) is headlined “The Roofing CRM That Closes More Jobs and Protects Your Margin”. Its roofing claims are MapMeasure Pro roof planes and pitch, an AI quote from a property photo, and Job Costing. A roofing FAQ covers common questions about roofing CRMs and estimating tools.

The separate metal roofing page adds pitch adjustment, saying 6:12 and steeper adds 15–30% labor, and per-square-foot ranges such as steel at $10–$17. Those are QuoteIQ's marketing figures, not verified pricing data.

Features that matter most for roofing

Satellite roof and pitch measurement

MapMeasure Pro with Roof & Pitch Measurement is on Beginner and up. You outline planes on satellite imagery, pitch adjusts the area, and the result saves to the estimate. AI AutoMeasure can do the outlining for 100 IQ Credits per completed measurement. Wayback imagery helps when trees hide part of the roof. Always verify on site before ordering material.

Quotes customers can choose from

Options estimates let you show three shingle lines side by side, and the AI Estimator drafts line items from a photo and your measurements. Proposals add your company story, photos and reviews; they cost 100 credits each on Essentials, Beginner and Pro and are unlimited on Elite and Max.

Margin and payment

Job Costing (Pro+) shows profit per roof once labor and expenses are logged. Financing through Affirm, Klarna and Afterpay is on every plan, covered in invoicing and payments.

Which plan to pick by crew size

BusinessPlanRoofing reason
Solo repair rooferBeginner, $99.99Roof and pitch measuring starts here; Essentials has none
Small crew, up to 4Pro, $199.99Job Costing, QuickBooks Online, document signing, client portal
Sales reps plus crews, up to 10Elite, $299.99Pipelines for long sales cycles, unlimited proposals, GPS

Roofers should skip Essentials: measuring is the main reason to pick QuoteIQ, and it is not included there. Current prices are on our QuoteIQ pricing page.

Honest gaps for roofing

Where it fits this trade
  • Roof measuring included in the subscription, not per report
  • Pitch-adjusted areas flow into the quote
  • Tiered material options and financing
  • Published prices from $99.99 for measuring
Where it falls short
  • Satellite outlines are not a certified measurement report
  • No supplement or claims workflow we can verify
  • No material ordering integration stated
  • Pipelines need Elite; sales commissions need Max
  • Fewer roofing-specific tools than dedicated platforms

When a roofing-specific tool fits better

QuoteIQ frames its Roofr comparison as “All-in-One CRM vs. Per-Report Pricing”. That is the real trade-off. If you buy a handful of reports a month and mainly need quotes and invoices, QuoteIQ's built-in measuring is cheaper. If your sales process leans on detailed measurement reports and roofing proposals, a dedicated tool such as Roofr may fit better. QuoteIQ also publishes comparisons with JobNimbus, Leap, iRoofing and EagleView, which tells you who it competes with in this trade. We have not verified those vendors' prices, so request current quotes.

Among general field-service tools, QuoteIQ says Jobber handles roofs through an EagleView integration rather than built-in measuring; see QuoteIQ vs Jobber and our QuoteIQ alternatives.

Roofing: common questions

Can QuoteIQ measure roofs from satellite?

Yes. Roof and Pitch Measurement is part of MapMeasure Pro on Beginner at $99.99 a month and up. You outline roof planes, set pitch and save the area to your estimate. AI AutoMeasure can outline for you at 100 IQ Credits per measurement. Confirm measurements on site before ordering material.

Is QuoteIQ a replacement for Roofr or EagleView reports?

For many small repair and replacement jobs, its built-in measuring can replace buying reports. It is not a certified measurement report, though, and we found no supplement or claims workflow. Roofers whose sales depend on detailed reports may still prefer Roofr or a report provider alongside or instead of QuoteIQ.

Which QuoteIQ plan should a roofing company choose?

Beginner at $99.99 is the minimum, because Essentials has no roof measuring. Small crews usually want Pro at $199.99 for job costing and QuickBooks Online. Companies with sales reps and long sales cycles need Elite at $299.99 for pipelines, and Max at $699.99 for sales commissions.

Does QuoteIQ offer financing for roofing jobs?

Yes, on every plan. Customers can pay over time through Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay at checkout while you are paid upfront minus the providers' fees. QuoteIQ's help center lists Affirm up to $30,000 and 36 months, which covers most residential roof replacements.

Does QuoteIQ work for metal roofing?

QuoteIQ has a metal roofing page with pitch adjustment and per-square-foot material ranges for steel, aluminum, zinc and copper. Inside the app that means pitch-adjusted measuring plus your own saved prices. The ranges on the page are marketing figures, so load your own supplier pricing.
